About Us
We were established in 1994 by Bill and Kathy Waggoner, as a breeding facility for pet foxes. We are now a fox sanctuary for pet and wild foxes alike.
In 1990, we began with our first pet fox, a northern swift cross. Later we added 2 red males and finally silvers and arctics. We have bred and handled more than 50 different fox in the past 20 + years. All as pets. We have also rescued numerous foxes that had been injured. The pet ones were happily reunited with their owners and the wild ones were rehabillitated and released to live their lives healthy again. Those who cannot be returned or released remain here with us and are added to our spoiled population.
We have been licensed by the state of Ohio since 1990 when acquiring our first pet fox. I have also trained and worked as a veterinary assistant for over 8 years.
We would like to create a network where fox owners, breeders and suppliers can go for information and resources to aid in the healthy lives of our pet foxes.
Whether indoors or out or a combination of the two, we would like for lovers of the fox as a pet to be able to get together to share their experiences.
All of the methods described in this blog have worked in my own personal experience. However, I cannot guarantee that they will work for you, or that your fox will respond the same way my foxes have. You follow any advice given at your own risk; do not substitute my judgment for your own.
